    Re: Best Brand of Tyre

I used to go for Pirelli P-1-Zero's but then I had the caddy and needed the stretch so Nangkangs were sourced.... now I'm with the good old "Sunny" tryes.... but at £67 a corner I can't complain

    Re: Which Brand of Tyre

this is a question that no one can ever seem to answer.
I have tried loads of different tyres and stil not quite sure which are the best.
for value i would recomend kumho ecsta they grip really well dry and wet and dont wear to fast either.
Bridgestone potenza re050 are quite abit more but then last a little longer but maybe not quite as good in the wet.
Michelin piolet sport 2 are one of the best tyres but considering they cost a bomb and dont last twice as long as the kumho i would always recommend the kumho.
Contis are soft and wear fast, dunlops always seem to feather on mk5 golfs and a3s.

i dont think you will ever get amazing mileage out a tyre if you have a diesel and do mainly town driving with a bit of a heavy foot.
tourque and rubber dont go well together lol!

This is just my opinion from my experiance.

Well I've had falkens twice and were pretty good in the wet or dry on the bora I've had Michelin pilots and didn't like them as they didn't last 4 months had Toyota t1r's they were grippy as f**k in the dry but proper dodgy in the wet!!! Now I'm running uniroyal rain experts and they are mid priced had wearing but very good inthe wet and not too shabby in the dry however if you boot it they will light up in 1st 2nd and 3rd lol
