Re: Volkswagen reveals plans for six new plug-in hybrid cars - TheGreenCarWebsite.co.uk (blog)

I was watching the YouTube video few weeks ago.

Now a friend of mine has just had a Toyota Azura Hybrid as a company car. Its the first time I've been in an hybrid it feels very strange when you can't hear the motor running but your driving, until the engine kicks in. The strange part is Toyota use a 1.4 petrol engine which is similar to what the VW Jetta uses. If they concentrating on economy and emissions why don't they use diesel? My friends fuel comsumption was showing 50mpg a diesel would have been alot more. Also it has the power meter instead of a rev counter.
