    Newbie from W mids

Hi all, just joined up here after i found a link whilst mooching about on Edition38

Currently driving a Mk4 Golf Gt TDI PD150
already had the dreaded chocolate cam failure
not done alot to it as i bought it to save money on fuel!
Mods so far are EGR Delete, JOM coilovers, R32 alloys, de-wipered

    dewiper cap

a little sticker i put on lol

    Crud from inlet manifold..yuk!

    chocolate cam and lifters

I used to have an octavia vRS before this and loved it, but was too thirsty

    Holy inlet crap batman!

What a lot of crud you removed!

So with the money you are saving on fuel - should be enough to get another project lol

haha yeah was a messy job but got there in the end! car is more responsive and acceleration is smoother
i have saved a damn lot since switching...i was spending £400+ a month on the octavia and now im spending around £150 a month on the golf
unfortunately i am saving for a house so have to be a bit sensible with spending it on mods lol

plans are to buy a standard spoiler, sideskirts, Anni rear valance and a R32 bumper
What I dont understand is people who buy fast cars, but then watch their MPG all the time - If your going to have a fast car like that, then you wanna be able to drive it fast and not worry about MPG.
