    JD's Diesel Daily Bora Highline

Hi all finally got around to doing this after deciding to keep my car.

Anyway where to start, having always wanted a Bora but insurance stopping me I started my search in June last year, it took a while to find what I wanted as I had decided I wanted a good spec. Anyway by the end of June I found what I was after a 1.9tdi PD130 highline, I decided to settle on the colour the colour I really wanted wasn't made in this spec and I got the car at a steal As you expect from the Highline its got all the usual toys, rain sensitive wipers, heated leather seats, air con, cruise control, parking sensors etc. Anyway this is how it look when I first purchased it.

I then fitted a Parrot hands free and debadged the rear and added new plates.

Then came the wheels, at the time I loved them now I'm not sure haha.

I then ordered some JOM's from DPM and finally got the car lowered.

Then a friend of mine did some photos for me. Not going to post them all as there where like 20 haha.

Next was the stubby ariel and new matts

Then for my Birthday my brother in law did me a roof wrap in gloss black.

And me and friend went out and shot some more photos.

Then fitted some wind deflectors and had my grills and mirrors painted gloss black.

Then I looked into smoothing my bumpers but decided against it due to cost.

By now it was October and time for the first show for my car GTI Fest.

Another photo shoot with a few local guys.

My friend decided he wanted to sell his US rub strip and 4mo splitter so we decided to swap bumpers with a little cash his way.

Also fitted some 15mm rear spacers.

A few more snaps before winter mode.

Changing to winter mode I had some jack damage thanks to my Dads mistake at the same time i fitted matching orange indicators.

I also cleaned up the headlights and fitted some Osram night breaker plus bulbs but I can't find the photos haha.

I also decided to put the spacers up for sale as they did nothing but rub the arch on the tyres and I wanted new wheels anyway also the winters were sold as I was skint, so the summers went back on had a little fun removing the fronts.

I then decided to order clear side markers as I thought the Orange were a colour to much.

I then ordered some US rear lights but had a nightmare with them, firstly there was no fogs so they weren't legal, then cause this they didn't fit properly, so they went back.

Then finally got round to sorting my Jack damage and the car went to paint, I also needed the rub strip spraying as it had a little paint peel and a few marks in places.

I then picked up some light insides that I had gave to my brother in law to be plastidipped. Sadly I haven't been able to fit these due to bad weather.

Have a few photos of mine by his R32

I had also picked up a TT ARB a few months before with everything needed to fit it so used the rear light money to get it on, sadly due to needing my arches rolled I didn't get to lower it anymore.

Then came Ultimate dubs where I picked up some pressed plates, which again haven't been fitted yet.

Now as we are pretty up to date bar a few photos that I'll keep for a later date I was going to sell up as I'd lost the love recently but now its been rekindled thanks to a few guys on the Unphased forum. I think the cars going down a different path in the next year as this is now my influence.

New wheels and arch rolling will come first but hopefully big changes to come.

Re: JD's Diesel Daily Bora Highline

Thanks guys Anyway after some 3SDM's now so if anyone has any for sale please let me know. Also had a fun few days, yesterday nearly took the front end off on a so called ramp while roads where being relayed was like a 4 inch drop! Then today had 4 adults and a load of shopping so scrapped all the way from Trentham gardens back to my Crewe which was interesting.

Also this week I'm planning on doing my joey mod, anyone suggest the best way to split and put the lights back together?

    Thanks

Re: JD's Diesel Daily Bora Highline

So after seeing its going to rain wednesday I decided to valet the car today so its easy clean for next weekend. I cleaned the interior and hovered inside adding a new air freshener, then washed and sorted the wheels, then waxed the car and wheels then finished with tyres blacker and some back to black
