    Clarkeys Bora 1.9 Tdi highline

Well thought i may as well start a thread, so here goes

    Day 1

well started with a trip to Manchester to go pick her up, took me months to find a genuinely tidy one and spec i wanted (130 highline) after looking at so many sh*tters on Autotrader and Fleabay.

(parked up on her new drive)

this is where it currently stayed for the time being for a couple of days due to me sorting my insurance out.

with it being my first VW i have ever owned i started doing some searching, reading reviews of local garages to get some work done, one being its due a cambelt and found out a company local to called Votex, with people raving on about how good and reasonable priced they were (at this point i missed BVR completely), so thought id get it booked in along with my old mans 07 Passat as well day later we were shocked that the bill came to £600+ wont be visiting these guys again after that.

at this point didn't really do much other then plod around in her and buy a personalized plate

at this point she needed some work doing so i started the hunt again for a honest, trust worthy garage to do the work and this is the point is where i came across this forum and BVR, and after reading the threads on here which were all very positive i thought i give them punt and got her booked in for IC seals, EGR Removal and fitting of Allard delete kit and both of the front wishbones along with a few other pieces which ive forgot off top of my head

couple of days later and what can i say BVR have ticked all the boxes for me and more what a cracking service after the cracking work done by the BVR boys she went back in for more work a month or so later which included a full service and rear disks and pads

Now a few arty farty bits now:

next on the list were the headlights which had clouded and heavy scratched.

    so from A:

to B: (wet sanded 1000-2000-3000 and polished with Gtech p1)

    and the other side

after a quick snowfoam and wash this is how she stands at the moment

also got abit carried away and started on the engine bay

more to come once i can be bothered

cheers guys yeah took me a while find one that wasn't a complete shed or been in a bump or being completely abused.

since we had a break in the weather today i thought id crack on with fitting the W8 light.

took me about 45mins to fit with most of it trying to figure out how to get the fuse box panel off lol but overall really nice OEM upgrade so much brighter then the stock light as well

well not really a interesting update other then buying a few things

as there wasn't a cup holder in the back thought id buy one

after flicking the blanking plate out the back,

with the number plate light blown thought id buy some white ones

think they need some tweeking as they are abit bright imo

Also booked into R-tech again on the 3rd march for a Remap, which iam quite looking forward too
