    Canon G1 X

I want to start getting into photography but really don't fancy carrying various lenses etc around, any thought on the above for a newby?

    Re: Canon G1 X

a camera for a beginner who wants to take it to the next step but doesn't want to shell out for lots of different attachments.... Has to be the Canon G12 the G1X is cram packed with way to many features, its as if canon just kept putting more on it and forgot what they were trying to make.. the G12 hits the nail on the head, it has the right balance of features and it performs 100% right out of the box.. its the type of camera you can learn with as you go or you can sit down and read the manual to get more involved... with all the other features the GX1 has you'll need a degree just to understand some of them as they've over complicated it...

even better now as Amazon have a sale on it Canon PowerShot G12 Digital Camera 2.8 Inch Vari-angle: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
