There is life on the other side ;0)

Had a succession of Dubs as always favoured them over any other marque.

But.... I got bit by the Skoda bug and been very impressed!

Yep, it isnt news to anyone that they share loads of bits usually from the older VW parts bin but I can honestly say the last 70k Ive done in my 10 plated VRS has been brilliant! Bloomin cheap to run too!

Still got a Polo which weve had for 10 years which will be replaced with a Monte 1.2tsi next year.

The estate has proved to be a good all rounder, practical, frugal and fun!

Following up on Sword's assessment, my daily Octy tdi has been a revelation. Picked it up for nothing with a brand new turbo unit on it. Turns in +60mpg regularly, starts well and is loaded full of kit. All of which still works which considering the car is 14 years old is brilliant.

Given the current pricing strategy of VW it seems unlikely the B6 will be replaced with anything other than an Octavia.

Or if the mrs has her way, Superb. But as there isn't a vRS option it may require a gentle nudge in the right direction.

On my second one and still impressed! This one has a load more goodies and being white does influence other drivers behavior especially on the motorways! Of course, I never take advantage of that
