golf vr6 heated leather not working.

hi all not long had my vr6 highline, when I bought it the drivers heating seat switch was on full (5) after driving it from London to stoke, thought the seat was warm after 5-10 mins or it might of been the curry the night before ??? but since we have started having colder mornings thought it would be nice to put on as I go to work but no response????? if anyone can point me in the right direction, of where the problem could be ie... fuse, wires, relay etc. that would be great cheers.

might be the resistor? usually they fail... where it is I couldn't help you with though but I'm sure one of the mk3 boys will be along to help soon

Try swaping the relays under the seat, see if that works.

My guess it will be the elements in the seat (one base, one backrest) they are wired in series so if one blows they both don't heat.

On one of mine I swapped the seats round to eliminate the switch and wiring.
