    Reprogramming keys mk4

changed the battery in my keyfob and the keys died to the car and is now immobilised got to go work later aswell. it needs reprogramming to the car to stop the immobiliser coming on wheni try to start it. I have VCDS and some other kit for my laptop ive been told i can do this through vcds as one of my mates had it before me and has managed to programme keys thru it but i havent got a freeking clue anyone got any ideas how you do it and if they have vcds lite can talkj me thru it?

    Re: Reprogramming keys mk4

The battery in the keyfob has nothing to do with the immobiliser so it should still start.

You can code keys to the immobiliser with VCDS but you will need some software to pull the 4 digit pin code from the immobiliser before using VCDS.

If you have the pin let me know and i'll try and talk you through it.
