    Sump bolt

Hey guys, I may be just being stupid but I can't get my sump bolt off to do an oil change, I have tried brute force, warming the engine up, and a bit of WD40 but it's not having anything. Any tips on what I could do to get it undone??

Sounds like it could have been over-torqued or threaded when re-applied- do you have an aluminium sump by any chance? Sometimes the steel plug also corrodes onto the alloy thread.

I think it may be an ally sump on your generation Polo and it could well be corroded. Brute force should remove it, give it a whirl
