Engine Swap - 2E and AGG - Help

as title, ive got a b3 passat with 2e lump in and cambelt has snapped so cheapest option is just drop replacement engine in but not many 2e about will agg engine fit straight in without need to change loom or ecu or anything else.
if anyone has a good 2e engine spare that would be even better as i can only seem to locate them miles away.
    any help gratefully recieved
    thanks

The block is basicly the same although the AGG has a crank sensor have you will not need, just swap all the ancilleries and electrics from your 2E onto the AGG lump and it will work fine.

I know a chap in Derby that should have a 2E in stock.

Engine code is stamped on the front on the right hand side (as you look at it).

AGGs are very common, also the ADY is the same and comes in slightly earlier cars

Re: Engine Swap - 2E and AGG - Help

I am soon going to have a 2E engine to break or sell complete. The only problem with it was the injector rail is defective. It won't be ready for about six to eight week as am trying to get time off work to swap it with a diesel 1Y engine.
