    Remap

Thinking of remap in the next few months, what are the benefits and what would it give me extra bhp or should i just keep it standard

    Re: Remap

Really good gains on those, I wouldn't entertain having a 1.8T without mapping it. Look up your model here BVR Tuning

Is it fly by wire or does it have a throttle cable? Fly by wire will be done via the OBD port but the ones with throttle cables have to have the chip removed from the ECU and read with a chip reader so they cost more to do. If it's fly by wire we can do you a 14 day money back guarantee if you don't like it.

If you get it mapped I would recommend fitting a panel filter and forge recirculating dump valve at the same time (we can supply and fit if needed)

If you do decide to get it done give me a call/email/PM and we can get you booked in.

    Re: Remap

my as the throttle cable so how much for remap and panel filter and forge recirculating dump valve all fitted by yourself's ?
i have heard that the performance panel filter's cause problems to the air flow mass sensor

    Re: Remap

Not any problems with panel filters other than the oiled foam ones (mess up the air mass meter), atmospheric dump valves and induction kits can cause problems too.

Can you drop me a PM with your Reg number and i'll get back with a price but it will be pretty expensive due to the ECU removal and work involved, pity it isn't a fly by wire

    Re: Remap

also mate for some more power you can pick up the ko3s turbo pretty cheap, its a straight bolt on part, and with the mods above will prob look towards 200bhp and more of a rev range with the turbo,
mine got as far as the turbo with a mapped ecu, just wish i had more spare cash to finish it off

Good call if your handy with the spanners

Don't forget to factor in gaskets, oil and filter change and oil feed/return pipes.

Costs start increasing when your paying someone to do the work for you though.
