Thread: Engine Getting Louder

    Engine Getting Louder

ok, so the AAZ in my mk1 caddy is getting louder, i.e. seems to be a lot more noise in the cab, could this be due to engine mounts deteriorating and possibly increasing vibration through the cab?

The engine itself appears to be running as it should other than the thermostat possibly needing to be replaced.

Sounds like you have the broken motor mount syndrome. The right side mount and the one under the car are usually the ones needing replacement. The right side can be a real challange.
