    Bung / Plug identifying

Anyone know what this plug / bung is called and what it does ,goes on the end of a steel pipe that looks like it comes off the manifold?

It has gone brittle and the end has come off ,sounds like the exhaust blowing ,have since blanked it off but the revs have a mind of there own on tick over .

P.S have looked on ETKA and there isn't a part number listed for it.

Circled in yellow near the inlet .

Isn't that the where the exhaust emissions probe goes? Blue rubber cap slides on there.
