    Vr6 tuning

Hi guys not sure where to post this. But this seems good place. Jus wondered what kind of tuning for my vr6 can I do I have the usual cat back stainless, induction kit. I read somewhere mapping doesn't gain much. Should I go race manifold an decat. Seen some turbo/supercharger kits most seem to go down that route but Would I be looking at a rebuild before fitment does anyone know reliability issues with tuning the vr6 an what kind of Bhp would u get keeping the tuning along the n/a route. Cheers

you want look on vr6oc mate they have loads of info over there,

but they respond well to a proper inuction kit stainless manifold and decat, i had that on mine and it made 198bhp,

you can get cams and the rare as hens teeth schrick inlet manifold,

    HI There

I run a vr6 engine in a MK1 golf and i have run piper cams, ported head. DIY exhaust system and intake pipes
making 208bhp, and a good torque increase over stock.
The head was diy ported/polished, bought the cams second hand off ebay.

I think you will get really decent gains if you can afford a big valve head from say TSR etc, speaking to a guy in Germany last year
at a show, he says with a big valves and schrick cams, should see around 220bhp.

You could also look for a schirck manifold, you can still buy them new, but they do cost euro 1300
just type it into google and you will find a nice german/dutch shop selling them.

    Hope this helps
    Adam
