Thread: General Tuning

    General Tuning

    Hi,
This might have been already discussed but i couldn't find it.

I have a 08 VW Golf gti mk5 tfsi. I'm after some advice on some tuning parts. I was after a Forge twin take induction kit. I've read some good reviews on these kits as well as being an enclosed induction kit (which is mainly what i'm after) the gains are better compared to open kits.

I'm also eyeing up a performance exhaust but not sure which to go for? Possibly a blueflame system or miltek any ideas?

I know i'm going to need a remap & uprated dump valve. I'd also like an uprated fuel pump (i better start saving).

    Thanks for your help...

You spoke to me (obviously I haven't got a clue), we have always used Powerflex bushes as we have a reliable supplier and never had any problems with the bushes. We tend to focus on repairing cars to a high standard instead of making sure we know every supplier that produces decent quality poly bushes, if we were to ever have issues with a supplier then we'd look around to find an alternative.

I think you've already made your mind up with your mods...

The Forge Intake excellent piece of kit with good reviews
Miltek is a great all round system, not loud and in your face unless you want loud and in your face?
I'd settle with the Forge Dump Valve also
    Remap

that little lot would see you with a good output... [email protected] will be able to advise you further, he knows his stuff give them a ring or pop in

Personnally I wouldn't say that... I've had quotes from them in the past when I first had the Golf and lets put it this way... my money didn't see their till... plus the fact they're not really local...

    Re: General Tuning

I haven't really made my mind up yet. I just have ideas of things i want. I think the Forge twin take would be a good idea. As for the exhaust i wanted something fairly loud i like the popping & banging. I was looking at the Milltek quad zorst (i think there called) as they look very nice. Followed by carbon fibre diffuser which fits between the exhausts. I haven't really looked into dump valves yet but i know i will need one. Then i'd like a custom re-map. I'm always open to new ideas so suggestions welcome... Thanks to everyone for your help so far!

Hi Dave How much would a custom power re-map for my 08 vw golf gti mk5 be? What is involved to re-map the car? Thanks.
