fuel gauge on my 6n2 dodgey

    hi,

I've got a problem with my fuel gauge,i ran out of fuel the other day but the needle was only just at the top of the red.
i have noticed that even with the ignition off the needle only drops to the top off the red not all the way down.

I'm assuming it cant be the sender Because when i have fuel in and ignition is on the needle goes up but when its off needle still stops just at the top of the red.

I'm hoping i can fix this myself or will i need buy new clocks???

tried to add a picture not sure if i done it right

could the needle be sticking at that point or catching on something on the clocks ,may need to have them apart .

no worries ive sorted the problem, took the clocks out unplugged them, plugged them back in and they sorted themselves out, the needle now drops to the bottom. i only owned a polo for a week and im already sorting things out woo hoo.
