    Car Cleaning

Gave the Octavia a good clean yesterday with rick and a couple of other chaps, weather was nice so we went ahead and gave them the works.

    Before..

The First step was to wash the cars off, we used fairy liquid to strip back any old protection etc and to give us a good base.

We then clayed the cars off using born slippy lubricant and clayed off each panel removing tar, swirls etc.

After all the panels were free from any wax and sealant we applied GTechniq p1 to the car to remove any minor scratches and help corrent the paintwork.

Then we sealed the paint using Poorboys EX-P followed by the top finish which was Natty's Paste Wax end result is great its the first time that i had done this 5 step process and was well worth it, car smells of bubblegum aswell, which is nice!

    6:30am this morning.

Photo's are poor at best but i think there is some better ones on Ricks Camera but thought i would share

Looking good mate personally I wouldn't have used fairy liquid any car shampoo will remove the protection aswell as claying wil remove anything aswell then a paint cleaner will take away any last bits befor polish and wax !!!

Car shampoo will remove hardly any wax that has been put on the car... unless you wash it quite a number of times which will waste a hell of a lot of shampoo.... washing up liquid is the best thing and the cheapest to strip the wax off and it doesn't cause any harm to the paint work... saves loads of time and money... other than that you can buy a wax stripping agent but it will cost quite a bit for not a lot...
