looking to get my mk4 done in satin black but some of the places in stoke ether wont do it or are asking stupid money

spraynique say they wont do it because the owner is a miserable nob head
stoke body shop NO WAY because they are crap
bodymech want £2500 because of the labour costs and the owner is a nob

PF autos is my best quote with £1200 and the owner is a top gezza

never had any issues with him... always done a top quality job and in good time too with great prices

£1200 is cheap really... I'd want to see work completed by them to the same spec before handing the money over and letting them loose... as the finish has to be spot on with satin paints or it will look a mess...

They do mat laquer now. Have seen a black car just flashed over with mat laquer and looked the same and would be a lot cheaper i would of thought.

ive used PF autos a few times now so £1200 i suspect is mates rates plus its where psi tuning take there cars to get sprayed. think i might do it myself with spray cans

i think biscuit used matt lacquer on his mirror caps

no matter what colour you have it still looks crap because of swirl marks matte or satin black was just the easiest to manage
