    vw cd player

    I have a mk4 golf with a standard stereo fitted. I want to fit a vw cd player into it i can get one from a local breakers for £20 will i already have the wiring to plug it straight in or will i need that as well? Also are the coded? Cheers mark

    Iv just fitted a 6 disc changer above my vw tape deck in my mk4, easy if you have the lead with it, on the back of yourstandard tape you will/should have 3 plug holes, 1 for speakers etc, 1 for switch power, permanent live etc and the other should be empty, the empty one is the plug u need to connect your vw CD player to your tape... Hope this makes sense mate, make them supply the connector/lead with the CD player!

    Yeah it should have two leads one for illumination and the other for power and audio
